Virtual document generation
« on: April 17, 2006, 06:29:15 am »
I have a virtual document created, the attributes show the use case packages that I want to include.

When I select Element->Document and gen the rtf doc I get no sections produced for these docs.

We are using integration with perforce if it makes any difference.

Using EA 6.1.788

I don't have EA open in front of me now, so you'll have to look around a bit. There is a check box (or whatever) that instructs EA to drill down to contained elements of a package, including contained packages. It is unchecked by default, so EA does a 'shallow' pass for documentation.

If you have not checked something like this, look at the settings dialog when you start the rtf generation process and set this option. You should get the contents of your 'containing' package, including your use cases, etc.

Good hunting,
David
No, you can't have it!
