Error with the EAP file
« on: April 26, 2006, 05:32:23 pm »
:'( . I have designed a data model using Enterprise Architect. It was working absolutely fine.

I clicked on project--> Version control and added to VSS.
Ever since I added to VSS I am not able to open the file at all.

It is giving an error saying

An Error occured: The Microsoft Jet Database Engine cannot open the file. It is already opened by user exclusively  or you need permission to view the data

Please help

EA needs to open the file as read-write.  Check that you have the proper permissions.

Also, it sounds a bit like you've tried checking your eap file into version control.  That is far from an ideal situation.  EA supports checking packages from a model in.  It may be worth reading the whitepaper on Version Control in EA if you haven't already.
