Class diagram: Fill Color printing problem
« on: May 09, 2006, 07:34:10 am »
Hi,

I've:
  • Dragged a package (that contains nested pakages) onto a class diagram
  • ...the package is displayed showing the nested pakages
  • I then format the package with a different (dark) fill color and change the text to white
  • ...which looks fine on screen
  • If I then click "Print Preview"
  • ...the font color is only changed in the "Tab" of the package shape, all the other text defaults to black, making the diagrams unreadable

Obviously, for now I can get around this by not setting the fill color to be a dark color, but is this is a bug, or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks,

Paul

Hi Paul,

How did you format the package? I just tried this. I dragged a package with some contents (not containing another package however) onto a diagram. With the diagram selected I pressed F4 (the shortcut to format an element) and selected non-default colours for the border (red), font (white), and fill (dark grey, so I could still see what was going on).

Both Print Preview and a printed page show all the text in white, with the background and border in the colours I set. I added an internal package and the colours were still respected.

Try F4 and set the options - if that's not how you did it the first time - and please let me know if that does the trick.

No, you can't have it!
