Localization
« on: May 15, 2006, 10:35:07 pm »
Hello, I was wondering if Sparx has any plans to offer localized versions of EA?  I am specifically looking for an American English version.

Thanks.

The EA application is supposed to be US English throughout, although the help file contains some non-US spellings. What have you seen that doesn't look American?

Realis/zation. In the UI, you should only ever see the US English spelling. The AutInt problem comes because you get visibility of the underlying data representation which uses the Australian English spelling, for reasons long forgotten. Not a localization issue though.

To answer the original question, EA is written to enable localization (as proved the Japanese version at www.sparxsystems.jp) but we don't have the expertise to do the necessary translations.

Thanks to you both.  It is a minor thing and restricted to the on-line help I believe.
