How to get rid of the GUID in RTF template?

Hi all,
   I was playing with RTF generation using corp edition. I created some GUID filed in the template then I decided to get rid of it. So I deleted the gray coverred text " {Element.GUID} ". Then I saved, however, in the documents I generated, the guid still shows up.　It seems that even tho I deleted in the template it still stays there. Could any one tell me how to get rid of it?

I tried creating a new template out of the current one but the guid still comes when i generate documents out of the newly created template. I have put a lot time into the current template so I don't want to start a new one (which I guess would get rid of the GUID). I believe there must be some ways of doing it...
