Parent Package Visibility
« on: May 25, 2006, 02:35:58 am »
I'm sure this has been dealt with somewhere but I'm not finding the search very useful.  I'm including classes in a class diagram within a package that are owned by another package (using the simple link option).

How can I turn off the visibility of the parent package on the class??

E.g. Class Fund owned by package 1, included in diagram of Package 2 displays as Package 1::Fund.  I just want to be able to display it as Fund.

(You can do it in Rose and Rose, as we all know is *** so I'll be a bit upset if its not possible!!!!!)

Thanks, Julie

Note that you will have to set this for each diagram, setting each as you require. This is not a global setting.

The hot key for diagram properties is F5, this becomes a real time saver after the first few diagrams.
No, you can't have it!

Fabulous - the one checkbox I didn't try!!

Thank you to all you knowledgeable gurus (...sad...), and we all know EA is better than Rose.
