Sequence diagram: Created object ends automaticaly
« on: July 14, 2006, 07:29:14 am »
I call creation of a new object in sequence diagram. Its lifeline starts at this point. OK
I send a message to this object and I found out, it is deleted (its lifecycle end in the diagram). ???
It seems strange to me, I don't want to delete this object. Can anyone help / explain, please?

There was something about Object Lifetimes ./. Code Generation ./. Garbage Collection. But I can't recall what it was exactly (nor whether it would actually help you).

Options | Diagram | Sequence
Investigate what "Garbage Collect (auto delete)" does.

CAVEAT - there are bugs in the 'X' visibility, of which I have written much.  Sometimes it doesn't show when you want it to.
