Re-add package to version control?
« on: August 03, 2006, 01:41:24 pm »
I had a package configured for version control. Subsequently, I removed the package from version control (by unchecking the "Control Package" checkbox in the Control Package Options dialog.

My question is: can I re-add the package to version control using the same name for the XMI file as previously? When I try this, it tells me "package <xxx> is already under version control...please choose another filename...". I don't want a new file, since I want to reconnect to the old one since it contains the historical record of previous changes etc.

Hello Markh,

Please try following steps:
(if you haven't modified contents of the target package)

1. backup your current model file
2. delete target package
3. right-click parent pacakge in Project Tree and
   select PackageControl | Get Package...
4. select the XMI file

After above steps, you can control the package as the
same as before.

Hope this helps.
