Alternate images
« on: August 09, 2006, 01:39:23 pm »
I'm working with a client who needs to identify business rules explicitly as re-useable elements in a model.

I've suggested that they create a new stereotype based on the comment class in the UML metamodel. I'd like to use the alternative image from the ImageLibrary but have not been able to select and assign one from the library through the Stereotype dialog. I want to use the policy image but have not been able to view one in particular to assign to the new stereotype.

Has anyone previously specified an image and used this alternative each time the stereotyped element is added to the model?

I am unable to find the .emf files and would prefer not to have to create my own shape if possible. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks

We use Requirement element for <<Business rule>>.
Investigate about Shape scripts for alternate images, there is a recent thread.

Thanks Jan. I need to check whether there was an alternative. The client's representatives are very particular about the form and language.

I guess designing an image is the way to go, unless someone has tried somthing else.
