Subactivity
« on: August 22, 2006, 01:50:06 pm »
Hi

I am seeing references in the documentation to an activity diagram element called a "subactivity".

I am not able to find this though, whether I put the toolbox in UML 2 "mode" or Business Analyst "mode".

Also why do I not see any control flow connector in the Toolbox under Activity when mode is UML2, I do see it when in Business Analyst mode, but this is pretty confusing.

Hugo,

Try making the 'parent' activity a composite element. Then add activities to the 'inner' diagram.

As to the toolbox, make sure the icon you are looking for has not scrolled off the end of the box. Click the little diamonds on the upper and lower bars of the open toolbar.

If that does not work take a look at your Tools / Options / UML Element Toolbox settings. You might also have to set this with the Configure Perspectives dialog. For this one try right-clicking on an empty spot in the toolox. You should be able to reach this dialog via the top option.
