showing stereotype icon instead of alternate image
« on: August 23, 2006, 03:41:07 am »
is there a way to make custom-made (not in-built) stereotypes appear as icons on stereotyped classes? (It would be nice to show stereotype icon instead of stereotype name; if alternate image overrides apperance, compartments are not shown so...

Thanks
Damir

Hey Damir,

Use the Decoration (I think) function of Shape Scripts. Of course this is one of the features that is not documented as of 6.1. Sparx has recently confirmed that updated documentation is pending and will hopefully be included when 6.5 comes to production.

[As I write this beta 2 has just been released, so it should be in production within a month give or take.]

I've experiemented a bit, and like many good things it sometimes works just as I would want and sometimes not. Search the forum for this and you will find enough information to get you started now, or wait patiently for 6.5 production.

David
No, you can't have it!

I think I'll wait for the production version then.
