Visual Source safe

I have set up an SQL Server repository and for Version Control I have selected VSS for the project. However, I am unable to Checkout anything. In fact, I am not able to get the check out option. Also, when I try to Start Version Control Explorer, I get an Error stating "The selected package has no association with version control explorer".

Any help much appreciated.

Got it! Had to create a control Package and set version control for the control package.
