Can I create template Diagrams?
« on: July 13, 2006, 02:38:41 am »
Hallo,

In my project I want to create a diagram that looks very much like another one. I could now create a complete new diagram and add all the (many) classifiers etc.
Copy and paste is not good because the two diagrams use the same elements.
Is there a way to 'copy' one diagram and creating new elements for every classifier? (Or something like that)?

Right click on the diagram in the tree and select Copy Diagram to Clipboard.

Then right click on a package in the tree and select Paste Diagram.  Since you want all the same elements used you'll want the Shallow copy.

I also just found out that I can paste classifiers in a new diagram by copy and then right mouse click on the new diagram and then choosing 'paste objects as New'. This creates in the used package new classifier - objects which are referred by the diagram.
