Importing Data Model from Erwin

I am trying to import a data model from ERwin.  I am using a third party tool to translate in to the XMI format that EA needs for import.  The output of the third party tools provides the definitions that have been entered into ERwin but EA is ignoring the definitions.  The data objects come through beautifully but the definitions are left behind.

Please help me solve my definition problem through the import using XMI.  The XMI makes the structures thus reducing the amount of work to transfer the information.  The XSD format brings the definitions but requires an enormous amount of work in WA to get everything to work like going through the XMI import.
