GUI Designer - Label
« on: October 12, 2006, 07:23:38 am »
Is there any way to use a label type of control when desiging a GUI dialog?

There are other kinds of controls, but we need a label that is populated at the top of our forms and guides the user about how to use the form.

This label is NOT associated with some specific text box or anything, does EA support this?

Thx

I agree completely. I believe this was mentioned some time ago, but did not go anywhere.

Why don't you file this as a feature request with Sparx, then post in the request forum - or do the steps in reverse and use the forum URL in your feature request. We (and Sparx) will see who voices their support.

In the meantime Hugh, try using a text element. It acts like a note, but has no borders and looks (sort of) OK on a UI diagram. We'll hope Sparx adds a Label element soon.

No, you can't have it!

You can always add your own stereotype element of type label and use it.
