Reverting to earlier baseline
« on: October 16, 2006, 03:44:52 am »
Will one only be able to revert to an earlier baseline if it was explicitly exported to XMI at the time - or does EA internally store the XMI of all baselines?

All Baselines are stored as XMI.

I know baselines are stored in XMI - but how do I revert to an older baseline?

There is no 'Revert to baseline' or 'Import baseline' option.

The only option I can find is 'Import File' and 'Export File'.

If I knew where the baseline XMI was stored, I could import that. Where is the XMI stored?

If the baselines are in fact only stored in the EAP-file, it seems necesary to explicitly export baselines to be able to re-import them.

So my question is: Where (file location) are the baselines stored?

There is no file location, they are stored within your repository.

The baselines dialog gives you the possibility to export them to a file.  You can then import that as you would a normal XMI file.

OK - just to check:

To be able to revert to an earlier baseline, I will have to export that baseline.
