Dears,

I get design a flow of the requirements steps, with decisions, process etc and from this flow, to generate the scenarios?

Tks

Hi Aline,

The usual way to proceed in EA is to have other elements "realize" a requirement.

For example, you could have a use case that includes your scenarios - including basic path, simple, and alternates. This use case could be linked to your requirement with a «realize» dependency.

Does this help you to get started?

more or less...
If I want describe step by step for one requirement.
For example:
The requirement is: generate a relatory

For represent the execution I'll design:
Main Flow
1. The user selects a type of relatory
2. User check the datas to appear in relatory
3. Decision point: System will check if any item isn't checked.
      IF doesn't exists
          4. System generate the relatory
          ELSE exists (Alternative Flow)
          4. System present in a message error in display
END

And imaggine that with this flow will generate the scenarios to tests case.

Is possible do this in EA?

The simple answer is "I think so."

However, it sounds like you are looking for some degree of automatic generation along the way. In that case I don't know.

You can create test scenarios, and there is a relationship to requirements and use cases, but I have not had the need to check how much information, if any, is passed through the chain.

Anyone have ideas here?

Hi,
I think that the only way to describe graphically what you want is diagramming an Activity Diagram, then  related it to the requirement.
We've here some people that creates activity diagrams to represent complex use cases.

Is that what you want?

In EA it is possible for any element open a View/Testing Pane, where you can rightclick and import element scenarios, constraints and requirements.

Hi Aline,

We're starting the use of Traceability Concept, and we're using EA to do that.

The main problem is to generate a Impact Report, but we're working on creating these Reports via Word/VBA.

In future, we're going to implement all the Requirement Management and we hope EA could support us.

Hi Carol,

You're working in developer the impact analyses, oh right?

So, do you think the Sparxs will implement this for the next version of EA???

And any other question, How much difficult is developer this "in home"??

Tks so much,
Aline :-[
