automatically create operations
« on: November 15, 2006, 07:34:46 am »
Hi,
I'm sure i've seen somewhere that it's possible for operations on the class to be created automatically when editing sequence diagrams is this possible [ draging calls/messages between lifelines]

Second question: is it possible to hide the activation on the lifeline in sequence diagrams.

Thankyou,
Graeme.

If your lifelines are objects with a classifier or an actual class then there is an 'Operations' button on the message properties dialog.  This allows you to add and/or select an operation on the called class.

Right-click the diagram and select "Suppress Activations". If you want to do it for all diagrams, you will need to go to "Tools | Options | Diagram | Sequence" and set the "Width" value to 0.

Thank you both.

I'm very new to UML (and EA) so i've just been going through practicing recreating the diagrams out of the book i'm reading,  seems to be helping!!

Thanks again,
Graeme.
