Element hyperlinks between separate EA projects
« on: December 01, 2006, 01:03:01 pm »
I'd like to know if there's a way in version 6.5 to have in a project linked elements from a separate project.

For example, I'd like to have a separate EA project for each application that I develope, and yet another project for the common components (use cases, clases, components, etc) shared by all of the apps, so when I need to add a common element in any of the app EA projects, I don't wanna have to copy-paste the common element, but simply copy it as a hyperlink to the common EA project, just like when you copy and paste elements as hiperlinks within the same project.

Thanks in advance!!!

I'd recommend using controlled packages as this does allow sharing of packages across multiple models.  See http://www.sparxsystems.com/EAUserGuide/index.html?controlledpackages2.htm
