BUG: EA and MySQL

I need some help getting EA to talk to MySQL.  I was able to do this in the past but with the latest of everything it doesn't work anymore.

My setup:

• EA 6.5 build 801; Corporate Edition(also with build 800)
  
• MySQL 5.0.27-community-nt via TCP/IP
  
• MySQL Connector/ODBC v5 (5.00.10.00 Beta)
  

I am able to connect to MySQL using MySQL Connector/ODBC v5 and MS Access 2003.  This leads me to think that my problem lies with EA.  When I try to connect, I get the following message:

  Microsoft OLE DB PRovider for ODBC Drivers [-2147467259]
  [MySQL]{MyODBC 5.00.10][MySQL] 1046 No database selected

I made my attempts with the root MySQL user which has every privilege granted so there should be any security issue preventing me from making the connection.
