PIM <---> PSM synchro (transformation)
« on: January 15, 2007, 02:07:45 am »
Hi,

I have no problem with PIM --> PSM transformation. My Platform Independent Model (Analyst/Design) is transformed well in a Platform Specific (DDL transformation, Oracle). I can propagate any changes in PIM. I am also interested in opposite direction. Is it possible?

Hi Jan,
a very good question. So far I always managed to synch manually, but definitely it would have been nice to just say "Synch" and see the changes back in the PIM. Probably a candidate for an enhacement (or a EA has another feature yet unknown to me).

Manually means rewrite the information? Heh... that is what I was afraid of.

Although it's theoretically possible, EA doesn't support an inverse transform.
