Database schema import
« on: January 17, 2007, 02:28:17 pm »
Hi,

I am considering using EA to extract the schemas from existing PostgreSQL databases. I understand that it can only be done via ODBC and that only the Corporate version is able to do that.

I have EA Professional but just want to clarify the above.

Cheers

I got the impression that the Corporate version was the minimum level required to store your models in PostgresSQL (or other DBMS back ends).

However, I think the Professional version should be able to link to ODBC data sources and extract their schemas to create data models.
No, you can't have it!
