Source package no longer shown on diagrams
« on: January 25, 2007, 10:24:53 pm »
Formerly, when I was using 5.0.766, diagrams would show inside brackets and italic font where elements outside the current package come from i.e. "(from SourcePackageName)". This is very useful for example in our requirements diagrams where we would instantly see if a requirement is defined elsewhere.

I am now using 6.5.801 and this feature seems to have disapeared. I have explored the diagram properties, the Options | Diagram | Behavior, the online docs and this forum.

Does anybody know how to bring it back ?

Try enabling the 'Highlight Foreign Objects' option in the diagram properties.

Found it from the forum: Diagram properties | Highlight Foreign Objects.

Thanks ! Is there any way (hack ?) of showing the full package path, i.e. if the package is inside other packages ?

Once again the usefulness of this would be to allow for shorter internal package names without having ambiguity on the diagrams.

I investigated on this some time ago and the answer was: Fully qualified names are not possible in EA.
