Importing Postgres PostGIS data types into EA
« on: February 09, 2007, 07:52:14 am »
I'm just getting started using EA to model a database application. I have a Postgres database with the PostGIS geometry extensions added. When I connect to the database, and import the schema into the model, the PostGIS data types aren't imported. Is there a way to import the data types into EA ? I'd rather not have to define them manually in EA.

Thanks

Geoff

Sigh! Not that I know of.
Unfortunately you (like I) seem to have reached the limits of UML UML in itself does not keep up eith the the nuances of such an advanced dbms.  At the moment all you can try is creating such technology specific extensions through the API.
Let me know if you have any sucess!
