https reference to external documentation

Most of my documents are stored in an electronic document repository which is access via a https web address.  When I try to link to an external document, specify that the location is a web address and provide an address of the form:

https://www.mydomain.com/eRoom/myspec.doc

and then I try to launch the document, EA attempts to access the document at:

http://https//www.mydomain.com/eRoom/myspec.doc

Does anyone know of a way around this?

I recommend to send this as bug report to Sparx. Likely they look just for http, not https.
