Attributes visible when using steretypes?
« on: April 04, 2007, 01:52:16 am »
Hallo,
when I show a class in a diagram I can make it show its attributes etc.
If I use a stereotype created by a shape script I can make it show single features like the name of the class or the name of the stereotype.
Is there a way of showing the attributes? I think the difficulty is that there can be multiple attributes.

Not as yet, at least not without writing some pretty strange scripts, which won't hold up anyway.

Perhaps in version 2.0 of the scripting language. This should be brought directly to Sparx' attention as a feature request.

Here's how we (for some amorphous value of "we") like to do it:
  • Create a thread in the Suggestions and Requests section of this forum. Keep the topic straightforward and clear - you've done that in this case. Name the topic appropriately - you will want to change the thread name to indicate what you are requesting (the ability to list attributes, versus their visibility). This allows the community at large to express their support, and to add value through suggestions, ideas for improvement, and workarounds.
  • Make a feature request to Sparx. From the forum you can do this by following the Support link at the top of any forum page, then the Feature Request link in the left side menu. From within EA you can do this from the main menu via Help | On-line Resources | Request-a-Feature. This puts the request directly into their 'hopper' for consideration.
  • In your feature request, paste the URL of your forum thread. This allows Sparx to monitor the thread to gauge support, and to participate in the discussion.

No, you can't have it!
