How to create EMF or WMF for GUI-Elements?
« on: April 18, 2007, 09:42:16 am »
Hi EA-friends,

I tried to create an emf-file for usage as an gui-element in enterprise architect. I did this with Macromedia Flash, but this is obviously the wrong choice. What I need is a special behaviour for the resize - you could see, what I mean if you  check the swf, contained in this zip:  http://www.java-freak.com/temp/emfTest.zip

I have no experience with emf tools and appreciate your advice. Which tool used the EA team to create the build in gui elements? Thanks in advance!

Andreas

wmf = Windows Meta File
emf = Windows Enhanced Meta File

While it doesn't answer your question directly,  image/photo software such as Paint Shop Pro allows you to save images in these formats as well as a whole range of others including the more standard jpg, png, gif etc...

I once had a free copy of Metafile Companion which I still use. It can create simple drawings for stereotypes and save them in EMF.
