Jim,

I haven't time to follow your post in detail...  (sorry)  But I can confirm that some parts of EA (such as Combined Fragments) appear to be implemented to allow the diagrams to "look" right - but not necessarily "BE" right.  (See a recent posting (with the last week I think) for an example - look for Terms:  "Broken as designed")

Can anyone offer any suggestions?  The functionality just seems to be broken or inconsistent.
