Hide / Shorten DataTypes of Attributes

Hi again.
Another problem I've got is that the Datatypes need lot of space. CTableNamePropertyID : VARCHAR(255). Is it possible to set aliases for this Datatypes or hide it completely?For example:
CTableNamePropertyID : 255
DStartDate : DATE
