User Interface Diagram Question
« on: August 01, 2007, 06:55:18 am »
How should I represent a DataGrid using the User Interface Elements of a User Interface Diagram?  I am currently using a UI Control with its stereotype set to listview then adding buttons to that control for select/delete functions and using a generic UI control, setting it's font to blue and underline to represent a hyperlink for each item in the listview. I am making notes about sorting and filtering on the grid. I am just shooting from the hip here does that plan sound feasible or am I a complete moron?

Nope, it sounds just a lot of work.
We gave up on the grid thing. I created a "grid" stereotype and we paste a picture of the grid on it (through "appearance") menu to show the rows/columns structure.
but we have very complexed structures with many merges and sub summaries, you may not have the same problems...

Having a real grid UI element would be such a good thing... ::)
