attributes with a new line
« on: July 31, 2007, 10:21:28 pm »
Hello
i have a little problem with my classdiagramm in UML.
I have a long attribute wich i want to break in to two lines.
How do i make a new line in attributes using Enterprise architect?

Thx,

honestly i think there is no such way to this. but you could overwrite the drawing style of classes using the shape script editor, but honestly this is not an easy job if you're new to EA. there are some examples here on the website and in the help provided by sparx.

How about using an alias for the long attribute name?

EA allows this for attributes. Enable the Use Alias if Available option on the Diagram tab of the diagram Properties dialog - in EA 7.0, it is on the Properties dialog itself in 6.5 - to get the alias to show.

No, you can't have it!

If you just want to display the attribute wrapped, then right click on the element (class, I presume), select "set feature visibility".  On the left hand side of the pane, you can select to wrap features (class attributes) to the size you make the element.
