Configuring CVS for EA
« on: August 03, 2007, 07:12:24 am »
Hi all,

I need help on configuring CVS for EA. I am using the corporate edition of EA 6.5. I have downloaded CVS and installed on my computer. When i start CVS it starts well but in Menu options , it says shell not available. (I think it searches for Python and another software).

Please guide me on steps as how to configure CVS and EA to work together.

I want to create a local repository and configure EA for the same.

I tried to do some settings from EA for the Verion control configuration setup. But there, it says CVSROOT not configured.

Can you please guide me on the steps for configuring the CVS and making it work.

I would be greatful to you if you can provide me the help at earliest because i have very little time for my presentation.

Regards,
Nishant

Please search the forum for this. There's quite a bit of useful information on how to configure and debug CVS setup. You'll have to work a bit, but it is worth the time.
