Constraints lost after transformation

Hi there,
I am working on a platform independent class model that we are transforming into a java model (xml schema and DDL being planned). The problem I am facing is that any constraints, on attribute level or class level, will not propagate into the java model. Is this intended, a bug or is there any way around it by modifying the transformation templates?
