database dsign

i design database

after i press database engineering generate ddl
created file *.sql
i dont understand this .  ???
i wanted to create database and open it with access
the file should be ended *.db
can any one help about create database

Hm. Wrong board. Read a book what a DDL is good for.

Now you should use that "sql" and actually build your database. You can certainly copy/paste it into other (MSSQL, DB2, etc...) DBMS providing you have created an empty database before. Although, I wouldn't count so much on accuracy of the generated script.

Remember though, that MS Access cannot run an SQL script. There are a few third party applications out there that can provide this capability. I do not know if any are open source.
