Link Note to Connector feature
« on: October 02, 2007, 06:08:57 pm »
In a related topic (View Connector Notes in attached Note),  I mention the need for the ability to create a Feature linked Note for connectors.

This is another plea for this functionality!

This is brought to a head because of a typical EAUI Catch-22.  You can't <Context Menu>|Link this Note to an Connector feature... (on the connector), but you can: <Context Menu>|Link to Connector Tagged Values (on the attached Note).  However, there is NO mechanism that I can find from the menu interfaces to actually add an attached value to the connector!  You have to use the Tagged Values window to enter them.

However, I had to duplicate the Notes content into an (equivalent) "Notes" Tagged Value, to make the notes visible on the diagram.

Now that's a bug, or some nasty related thing.

Perhaps a quick fix of some kind is available. It would certainly help reduce ambiguity in the product.

No, you can't have it!

It's probably more EAUI than a bug (wrong design). I'm fully with Paolo that EA should be CCC in this place (my god, what sort of language :-[).

I suspect that Sparx can't correct this as Connectors are not elements to EA but something different. :(
