This one has to take the cake!  ::)  ???

Try creating a view from scratch...

You can't name it directly!  You have to create it with the wrong name then fix it post facto by using the properties window since the View properties dialog doesn't give you access to the name (or any other normal generic element property).

To paraphrase bruce (sargasso): Views is people too!
