BUG: <None> isn't available for DBMS type
« on: October 23, 2007, 09:25:48 pm »
In the <context menu>|Code Engineering>Reset DBMS Options Manage DBMS Options dialog under the Convert DBMS Type group, there is no <None> value available.  This can cause problems if you are trying to set the value (or even, conceivably, remove it).

This needs to be rectified.

Yes, this is definitely a problem.

In particular, it makes it impossible for us to define our own 'pure' implementation. We have to go with whatever EA decides the defaults are. There are a lot of conceptual modeling situations where this will lead to grief.

No, you can't have it!

Tell me about it!  Look for some subsequent postings where I've sussed out how three different EAUI behaviours have conspired to shaft me right royally!
