Does anyone know how to draw a 'role'? I've seen a good dozen different formats in various books and websites. The simplest and cleanest seems (to me) to be a plain box which contains "role:type" where 'type' generally refers to a class. (I'm currently looking at UML Ref. Manual, 2nd. ed., by Rumbaugh et al.)

The colon notation is for all objects <name>:<class>. So it simply depends what your Role shall be. The <role-name>:Role notation would make sense.
