Order of packages and elements in packages
« on: November 07, 2007, 04:27:34 am »
Hello,

I created a package diagram and draw a package (package A) onto it.

First case:
It contains only packages
Second case:
It contains only requirements

The packages and the requirements within package A are shown on the diagram. Thats fine.

BUT:
The order of the requirements and the packages is very different from the order, that they have in the project browser. If I change the order in the project browser, nothing happens in the diagram.

Is there a way, to fix this behavior?
I want to have the same order in the diagram and the project browser.

The option "Sort features alphabetically" is already switched off.

Regards:

Uwe Fechner

I'm not sure if this is a flaw or a 'feature' of EA. In any case, the order should be predictable, or at the very least there should be an option to enforce this.

[EDIT: On a very long shot, try setting the Allow Free Sorting - it's on the main Tools | Options dialog in the Project Browser section. I strongly doubt it will solve the problem. If it doesn't...]

I suggest you report this as a bug Uwe. You know the practice we use on this.
