Importing UML & ERD Into a Doc

Hi,

I've been asked to export the database schema to a UML diagram and an ERD diagram. The latter is so complicated that it is impossible to read once I import the .emf file into MS Word.

Is it common for developer guides/architecture guides to include the UML and ERD? If yes, what are the techniques for importing such a complex diagram?

Well, best practice is to split it into manageable portions. That might take a lot of time, but a spiders web does help nothing. If you have to eat an elephant: do it piece by piece.
