Drill down function
« on: January 13, 2008, 04:19:32 pm »
I could not find it, but this is what I like to do.

I have the following diagrams:
1. Activity diagram, used to document the business processes (that is the way the organization choose to do it, I do not like it but such is life).
2. Use Case diagrams
3. Activity diagram for outlining the use case
4. Sequence diagram to show the Main Success Scenario
5. Class Diagrams.

What i want to do is:
A. Link an activity element or Structured activity element to a Use Case diagram
B. Link a Use Case element to Activity Diagram
C. Link a Use Case element to Sequence Diagram
C. Link Class Diagram to Object

So pretty much be able to take an element on the diagram and link it to another diagram, simply by either double click or hot key.

Is that possible?

You can make the element composite element and then drug the diagram (as frame) into the element own diagram.
When double clicking on the elemnt its diagram will show, but in it iwll be actualy the picture to the tager diagram.
this picture is a link, therefore it updates automaticaly and you can click on it to open the real diagram.
Not exactly what you (and I) would want, but for a beggining it is good enough.
