EA on Macintosh?
« on: January 16, 2008, 04:51:08 am »
CodeWeavers' Crossover is also available on the Mac. I was just wondering whether this would imply it is possible to run the Linux version of EA on the Mac. Does anyone know?

Crossover runs fine. EA spins the CPU, and there are some usability issues, but overall it works OK.

The better solution is to get Parallels, under which EA runs perfectly. It takes some RAM though, 3-4GB is ideal.

I'm running my MacBook Pro with 2GB and Parallels. Works like a charm (if it weren't Windoze)

Thomas,
I'm on a macbook pro too. Upgrade to 4GB - you'll be surprised at the difference in performance running parallels.  ;)

Thanks :) I'll keep that in mind for my next one. This one will be depreciated mid of 2008 and I can't complain in respect to performance at all.
