Reports / requirements
« on: January 18, 2008, 09:29:28 am »
Hi,

I add requirements within packages.
Each package is associated to one of the applications we develop.
Let's say I have:

+ Application1
 + Requirements
      - Requirements diagram1
      - Req1
      - Req2
+ Application2
 + Requirements
      - Requirements diagram2
      - Req3
      - Req4

Let's say now I print the "requirement" report of the Application1 package.
It works fine I can see "requirement diagram" and the full description of Req1 and Req2.
Now let's say that I want Req3 to apply to both applications.
I can add Req3 to the "Requirements diagram1" as an hyperlink, so I can clearly see Req3 in the requirement diagram of Application 1.
This is great.

Now when I print the "requirement report" of application1, I would like to see Req3 with its description.
But I can't see it. Actually I can see it in the diagram, but not in the table below with all the requirements.
That's the problem. I can't read the description

Actualy I use these reports to print my SRSs.
I want 1 SRS per application.
So I really need to see the requirement description of Req3 in both SRS (so by printing both "requirement report").

How can I do that?

I tried to link requirement with the matrix and some other test but I can't manage to see Req3 in the report.

Thanks you very much for your help

Ensure you checked "Document each contained element in RTF" on diagram tab in your diagram properties of the diagram including elements from other packages.
There are related settings in the template (you want to generate via diagram not via packages).
