Import related elements via csv or add-in.
« on: May 23, 2008, 04:48:31 am »
I have a large list of related dependent requirements in an excel spreadsheet. Is is possible to import via csv or a pre-existing add-in? I am just starting out using EA and my basic mockup is working great, but I have a lot of our teams project data in excel spreadsheets and do not have the cycles to manually enter this information. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello,

Enterprise Architect has a CSV import/export mechanism, please consult the appropriate help section for more details: http://www.sparxsystems.com.au/EAUserGuide/index.html?csvspecifications.htm
Best Regards,

Michael

Actually, I have gotten that to load, what I cant seem to do is the linking. The csv only creates or updates element attributes, not relate them. Are there any simple add-ins out there to help with this, since I can only see how one has this ability through the api set. Am I missing something?
