Hi All,

is anyone able to explain me how to delete a table of contents?!?!?!

I tried to selec existing TOC ad the by insert->table of contents unselect the option... but it does not do anything!!!!!

Then i tried to select the TOC and hit the DEL key...but EA answer me that is impossible to delete protected text...

I lost hope!!!! Please help me..

I believe you have stumbled across one of the grandios issues I really like about the template editor.

Sometimes it happens that it gets confused and hallucinates to see EA instructions (usually in yellow) when there is none. If you are at this point the things are getting worse and worse.

Check in your template whether it has yellow markings or text/spaces of the style SSBookmarks at locations where they do not belong to.

If you are lucky enough you can change the text back from SSBookmarks to lets say Heading 1, etc.

Otherwise I suggest to rebuild your template because it will not get better but worse.
You can copy the whole template into a clear Word/OO/whatever document and then paste the sections in a fresh template (without the yellow instructions, of course).

(Note: In the above sections I use the word "grandios" in a very ironic way, the way eg. Craig Larman often uses it. I met Craig yesterday where he emphasized the different meanings in english and other languages)

There was an issue pre build 818 where the TOC was set as "Protected Text".  I would suggest you download the latest build to correct this.
