Hy folks,

I am evaluating EA for to buying in my company. The new project is about an embedded microcontroller.

1.) Is there a possibility to model the additional hardware of the microcontroller (Timer, counter, serial interface, ADC, etc.)?

2.) How can interrupts be expressed? Also I didn't find any possibility to draw events, like timer or a pressed button. Maybe I make the wrong approach.

Thanks for help

Alex

Hi Alex,

Events can be modeled in UML, and time-based events are a specialized case. Check the EA help for some ideas, then check out the Resources page on the Sparx site for white papers or tutorials for the various diagram types involved.

That said, your application might be better suited for the real-time profile. I believe it is in beta, which means it is only available for registered users. Perhaps if you contacted Sparx sales they could set up an evaluation for you. You can find their address at the bottom of the About Us page (use the link at the top of any forum page).
