Link diagram to Requirement element?
« on: May 13, 2008, 10:21:26 am »
I would like to link an Activity Diagram to a Requirement.  I am doing this to illustrate the logic that needs to be performed to decide what content should be displayed on a screen.

Is this possible?  If not, can you at least copy/paste the diagram into the Requirement?  Any other alternatives?

Thanks.

Hello Dorian,
A diagram when dragged to another diagram - It has an option to form a UML element Diagram Reference. This can be linked to other elements.  A alternate scenario for what you describe is to insert a diagram as a child of an Element - in this case the requirements element - See the Use Cases in EAExample model for an example of this.

Hi Dorian,
Take the Activity Diagram and drag it where you need it. Select Diagram Reference and after that link it with the given Requirement (or group of requirements) using favourable connector type.
