Custom toolbox, custom element and documents

Hello,

I have set up a custom toolbox with custom elements. On of these elements is an Artifact. Now I want to drag that Artifact to the diagram and when double clicking, it should open a document, which initially comes from a template (a meeting protocol template).

Is it possible to associate Toolbox elements with RTF document templates ?
(I dont want my users to choose the template when opening the Artifact for the first time)

Off hand I don't think so, but...

Perhaps you could identify the document - via a path or an ID or something - in a tagged value with a default (that's the document identifier). Then you could use an add-in to trap the creation events when the artifact is first used.

[There are some obvious issues here, not the least of which is an add-in, but it might work.]
