How can I copy a state machine and all its internals as a new state machine?

Hi John,
You have 3 choices using drag and drop:
Diagram Frame
Diagram Reference
Hyperlink

If you would like to see the structure directly in the new model use Diagram Frame. Other options will give you the links to your state machine.

If you want to duplicate it, you can export the package containing the state machine to xmi and import it to another package with the strip guids option.

I have 3 state machines (A, B, C) in one diagram.
There are dependency arrow between some internal states of these three machines. E.g. A has a state a1 which depends on a state b1 of B.

I would like to new a state diagram, make a deep copy of A and all its substates as well as their transitions. No B and C.

I've tried to (deep) copy the state machine to the new state diagram. New elements are added. However, all transitions cannot be seen in the diagram... What can i do to make those transition visible again?

I think you need to do as suggested by Frank, above.
