How to remove version control?
« on: June 19, 2008, 11:03:26 pm »
Hello,
We are using DBMS-based projects to work on a model competitively, and we use version control to track model changes. After having checked-in several model branches, it appears that we would like to remove version control for certain packages again in order to let more than one developer make changes on contained diagrams.
Generally, is there any way to remove version control from a package?
Regards,
Max

The post Midnight is referring to above is a query about trying to remove multiple packages at once from version control (which has to be done via automation at present).

Removing individual packages from version control can be achieved through the EA GUI by right-clicking on the selected package and navigating to Package Control | Configure. If you uncheck the Control Package checkbox, EA will no longer consider that package to be version controlled.

NOTE: The corresponding package file will still remain in the version control repository, as it is possible that other users may still be using the file in Private model scenarios (as opposed to shared models).
